After School Care

Parents and Staff,

To our new families as well as those that have used our program in the past, welcome to this year's After School Care Program (ASCP). Parents wishing to enroll students in the program may complete a registration form available on the MCS website or in the front office. Registration Forms (available at the right) should be turned in at the Main Office desk. Three payment plans are available: Pay by the quarter ($540) in advance, pay by the week ($90) in advance, or pay by the hour ($8) for drop-in service. Paying by the quarter provides the best hourly rate. Those who pay in advance at the quarterly or weekly rate, reap the benefit of not being charged for the extra three hours on half days that might happen to fall within that week or quarter. Our ASCP has been relocated to Room C-110 (Library).

A typical afternoon in the ASCP would appear as follows:

3:00 – 3:10 Elementary students are escorted to Room C-110 (Library) by their teachers and signed in to the ASCP.
3:10 – 3:45 Snack time and outdoor play / some students may stay in to begin their
homework
3:15 – 3:25 JH students who are not involved in an MCS sponsored after school activity and still on campus must report to ASCP in Room C-110 (Library).
3:45 – 4:00 Line up / bathroom and water break / return to Room C-110 (Library)
4:00 – 5:00 Homework or enrichment activities
5:00 – 6:00 Continue homework time / free play in Room C-110 (Library) or on the playground

Please remember that pick-up time for elementary students is 2:45. A grace period of fifteen minutes is allotted for those who might be running a bit behind. After 3:00p.m., however children will be signed in to the ASCP; parents will be charged for this service. Once a child is signed in to the ASCP, a parent must sign them out in Room C-110.

For those who may not have had the opportunity to register for the ASCP before the start of school, a registration table will be set up in the main hallway outside of Room C110 from 2:30 to 3:30 during the first week of school.
