High School

When Maranatha High School opened its doors for the 2006-07 school year, we occupied 4 classrooms and offered approximately 20 classes taught by seven full-time teachers. Our first graduation didn’t occur until 2009, when six students walked the commencement aisles. Today MCS high school can boast of numerous graduates with college acceptances at fine universities across the nation. Academic rigor is achieved, in part, through numerous Advanced Placement (AP) courses, taught with low student-teacher ratios, producing outstanding AP examination test results. Opportunities abound for students with interest in visual and performing arts with marching band, drum line, spring musicals, worship team, photography and studio arts. Other co-curricular opportunities include robotics and an international space station program that provide teams of students with opportunities in technological and scientific fields. Our interscholastic athletic programs involve students in competition against rival schools that are philosophically aligned.
Leadership skills and good citizenship are developed in practical ways through participation in our Associated Student Body and satisfaction of community service hours. We engage students with 21st century learning strategies, including a one-to-one i-Pad initiative, where students utilize digital curriculum to prepare them for post-secondary opportunities.
Expansion is on the horizon, “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” Hebrews 3:4
