Understanding The Times

The curriculum identifies the current struggle among worldviews as Christians, Muslims, Secular Humanists, Marxist-Leninist, Postmodernists and Cosmic Humanists vie for the hearts and minds of individuals. Each of these worldviews will be examined and compared in ten different disciplines – Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Politics, Economics and History. The understanding of these worldviews will enable the Christian student to understand and therefore not be deceived by anti-Christian worldviews. It will also allow for the training of Christian leaders who can actively champion the truth of Christianity in a culture of relativism, paganism, hedonism, and confusion.
Students will be introduced into the world of missions through From Jerusalem To Irian Jaya – Tucker. The book offers a window of opportunity for students to look into the life of missionaries serving in the mission field around the world. We will be discussing the whys, hows, hardships and challenges of being a missionary as well as God’s purpose as seen in the lives of these believers. Students will be required to do a book review addressing changes in their understanding, attitudes, observations and their Christian Perspective.
