Annual Eagle Fund

The Eagle Fund is the financial vehicle established to reduce the gap between the cost of providing a Christ – centered education and revenue generated from tuition. Your donation to the MCS EagleFund assists us in fulfilling the expectations you have of our school.

Here is an opportunity for you to assist in the advancement of the mission and vision of our school.

Contributing to the EagleFund is an investment in the lives of the children at MCS that will continue well beyond our lifetimes. In giving to the EagleFund, you are partnering with us to provide a Christ-centered educational program in a nurturing environment, supporting spiritual and academic excellence, and equipping students to fulfill Godʼs purposes in their lives.

Tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of educating a student at MCS.

The fact is, tuition and fees account for 92% of the operating costs. The remainder must come from the generous donor support of parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, corporations, friends and other funding sources. These gifts make it possible for MCS to reduce the gap between the actual cost of an education and the expenses incurred with managing a campus. Note: Daily operating costs include everything from utilities, teachersʼ and staff salaries, facility maintenance, managing our ongoing curriculum and providing basic resources and equipment for our Visual & Performing Arts students and athletes. Daily operating expenses do NOT include building expansion, lab facilities, a performing arts center, athletic fields and other future projects.

Voluntary gift support is a more efficient & effective way to raise capital than product based fundraising.

After researching the effectiveness of various fundraising methods, we have refocused our efforts, carefully considering the number and nature of fundraising activities. Product based fundraisers typically do not make the impact necessary to sustain the viability of the school. In reality, product sales generate between 40% to 50% profit. The majority of the profit goes to the vendor, whereas, 100% of the gifts contributed to the EagleFund go directly to the school and are tax-deductible.

The EagleFund enhances the educational experience of our students.

Donations are used to develop our Biblically based academic, visual and performing arts, sciences, and athletic programs. We continue to look for ways to measure student retention, comprehension and academic growth and achievement. For example, in the area of academics, MCS launched the MAP (Measuring Academic Progress) program in 2008. MAP is a comprehensive assessment program measuring studentsʼ general knowledge and academic growth in reading, language usage, and mathematics.
