small groups – deeper relationships
In an effort to make sure every student is cared for on a personal level, we match up a group of students with a spirit-filled staff member who will disciple them.
The goal of small groups is to make sure each student is:
- prayed for
- prayed with
- cared for
- loved
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our philosophy of community service is based upon God’s Word. Our scriptural reference is clearly stated in Mark 10:45:
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Community Service at MCHS provides the opportunity for the student:
- to model Christlike behavior through serving another
- to receive the blessing that comes from giving in the Name of Jesus
- to develop the lifelong spiritual discipline of serving Christ
HIGH SCHOOL RETREAt
At the beginning of each year, our High School sets aside a couple days to unite as body and spiritually set the tone for the school year. We invite guest speakers to share testimonies, spend time in worship and incorporate team building activities in the form of games and competitions. This is a special time for our Freshmen to bond with the other High School students and the faculty.
