Administration 

Director of Development

Type of Employment: Full Time (12-months)
Level/Dept: Administration
Salary: $70K - $85K/Annual

The Director of Development leads a development team in comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of fundraising for Maranatha Christian Schools to help fund the organization’s identified priorities and initiatives.  Direct experience in professional fundraising is not a must but a plus, including annual funding, major gifts, and capital campaigns; planned giving knowledge and experience an added value.  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  Strong leadership and project management abilities.

Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university.  Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising.

Early Education (Preschool)

Early Education Teacher (10-months)

Type of Employment: Full-Time
Level/Dept: Early Education
Salary: $18 - $22/hr.

The ideal candidate should be able to plan and implement curriculum & activities, give students the opportunity to develop their fullest potential cognitively, emotionally and spiritually. 
 
Minimum of AA degree; BA/BS preferred.  Minimum 12 ECE units including required State coursework and working towards 24 ECE units.  Must have development knowledge for ages and stages with young children.  Must be able to be flexible with routines.  A passion for working with young children.

Early Education Teacher Assistants (10-Months)

Type of Employment: Part Time
Level/Dept: Early Education
Salary: $16.50 - $17/hr.

Enhance the educational development of students by assisting teachers and supervising students to help with their social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development.

Minimum 12 Early Childhood Education/California State qualifying college units are preferred.

Facilities

Facilities and Events Coordinator (12-months)

Assist Director of Campus Security & Operations in the operation of the department and perform a variety of tasks to assist in maintaining office functions and projects. Responsible for overseeing events, including but not limited to duties involving processing requests, attending meetings, availability to ensure events run smoothly day of, maintaining records of current and past events and provide annual reports to Administration. High School graduate and/or Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2 yrs. experienced Administrative skills.

 


Junior High 

Ed Tech (12-months)

Type of Employment: Full-Time
Level/Dept: Jr. High/High School
Salary: $25 - $28/hr.

Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to support student learning through learning design and the use of technology.  This includes partnering with faculty members in the learning design process to make the best use of available teaching methods and with the best uses of technology to enhance student learning.

The Google Admin and Database Administrator manages, supports, maintains and develops school-wide database systems.  Coordinate and oversee the use of database systems across campus such as: FACTS SIS, Google Workspace, Magnus, NWEA, SmartPass, ParentSquare, Naviance and a variety of digital curriculum platforms. The administrator will provide direct technical support to staff, professional development training and ensure data accuracy and security to support the school’s administrative and academic functions.


A Bachelor’s degree in education or computer science, with a focus on technology, is preferred.  Google administration certification is preferred (minimum: Levels 1 and 2) or equivalent work experience.  At least a minimum of 2 years work experience in education technology.

 

Assistant JH Athletic Director (10-months)

Type of Employment: Full-Time
Level/Dept: Jr. High
Salary: $57,200 - $60,000/yr.

The Assistant Junior High Athletic Director will oversee, organize, and develop the Maranatha Christian Junior High School Athletic program while providing instruction in Physical Education for 6th through 8th grade students. This position encompasses teaching and coaching physical education in accordance with the Junior High bell schedule, as well as engaging with the public, parents, student athletes, coaches, and school administration. Both aspects of this role are dedicated to preparing students for meaningful lives by fostering their spiritual, educational, social, and physical growth. It is the responsibility of the Assistant Junior High Athletic Director to ensure the spiritual and physical health, welfare, and safety of each student athlete. 

A Bachelor’s degree and prior coaching experience are required.

 


High School

HS Computer Science Teacher (10-months)

Type of Employment: Part-Time
Level/Dept: High School
Salary: $25 - $28/hr.

Qualified candidates will possess education, training, or experience in preparation to teach Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses in entry-level computing essentials and principles.  The candidate must have the capacity to teach high school students entry-level content which exposes students to a diverse set of computational concepts, fundamentals, and tools.  Content includes visual, block-based programming intended to develop skills promoting a seamless transition to text-based languages like Python.  The teacher will prepare students to apply computational thinking practices, to enrich their vocabulary, and to engage in collaborative projects, reflecting the methodologies of computing professionals, developing products that address relevant topics and challenges.  The introductory course, Computer Science Essentials, prepares students with a strong foundation to advance to Computer Science Principles, Computer Science A, and beyond.  The candidate must also possess the knowledge and skills to direct the students, using Python as the primary tool to teach the fundamentals of coding, data processing, data security, and task automation, while learning to contribute to an inclusive, safe, and ethical computing culture.  The Principles course promotes computational thinking and coding fundamentals and introduces computational tools that foster creativity.  Students develop programming expertise and explore the functionality of the Internet.  Projects and problems include app development, visualization of data cybersecurity, and simulation.  This course is aligned with the AP standards , so the candidate will ideally possess the capacity for advanced level coursework. Required to attend comprehensive training provided by Project Lead the Way (PLTW) for each course they are assigned to teach, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and instructional best practices.

Bachelor of Science in STEM discipline with coursework or emphasis on programming/coding, Project Lead the Way certifications.  Have or be in the process of acquiring a California teaching credential and ACTS teaching credential (current or complete upon employment).
