administration 

director of development (12-Month)

Type of Employment: Full-Time
Level/Dept: Administration
Salary: $70K - $85K/Annual

The Director of Development leads a development team in comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of fundraising for Maranatha Christian Schools to help fund the organization’s identified priorities and initiatives.  Direct experience in professional fundraising is not a must but a plus, including annual funding, major gifts, and capital campaigns; planned giving knowledge and experience an added value. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  Strong leadership and project management abilities.

A Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising. CFRE certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Early education (preschool)

early education teacher (10-month)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Salary: $18-$22/hr.

The ideal candidate should be able to plan and implement curriculum & activities, give students the opportunity to develop their fullest potential cognitively, emotionally and spiritually. 
 
Minimum of AA degree; BA/BS preferred.  Minimum 12 ECE units including required State coursework and working towards 24 ECE units.  Must have development knowledge for ages and stages with young children.  Must be able to be flexible with routines.  A passion for working with young children.

Enhance the educational development of students by assisting teachers and supervising students to help with their social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development.

academic learning specialist (10-month; 2024-2025)

Salary: $55,467 - $60K/yr.

The Academic Learning Specialist is a critical member of MCS’s Academic Resources and Counseling (ARC) Department tasked with providing individualized and/or small group support for students identified with mild to moderate learning differences.  He/she will work in close collaboration with our ARC Team and MCS teachers to focus on meeting the needs of these students through the implementation of best practice interventions within our traditional, regular education setting.

Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree (preferred) in Education and/or Special Education, valid California teaching credential (single or multi-subject) and/or special education certification.  Experience working with children with learning differences in reading, writing, math, attention processing and/or executive functioning skills is required.

supervisor of staff and student support (12-month; 2024 - 2025)

Level/Dept: Elementary
Salary: $20 - $24/hr.

Oversee  the support  staff for teachers in the classrooms, students on the playgrounds and lunch, students attending after-school care, and staff and students attending the summer enrichment program. The Supervisor will hire and oversee support staff, scheduling of duties of staff, maintain the resources for the teachers and office staff, and after-school programs. Oversee the After-School Care Program and Summer Enrichment that will contribute to the student’s spiritual, educational, social and physical development and skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university and a teacher’s credential is preferable. Experience in similar related types of programs or projects.

The JH/HS choir teacher will teach vocal skills, production, and rehearsing music for performances. Extensive knowledge of vocal training, sight-reading, and playing the piano. Mentor students in worshiping God through all vocal music rehearsals and performances. Ability to multitask. Has strong classroom management skills.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a job-related field. Has prior experience as a vocal coach/teacher. 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.

The ideal candidate for this job should have a strong understanding of Stagecraft, including expertise in costuming, set building, sound, and lighting technology. The High School Math teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a range of math subjects, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.  They will develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning skills.  The math teacher will also be responsible for assessing student progress and providing regular feedback to students and parents.

The High School STEM teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive instruction in the principles and practices of engineering.  They will develop and implement curricula that incorporate real-world problem-solving and project-based learning.  They will also provide hands-on instruction in areas such as robotics, computer-aided design, and programming.  The engineering teacher will be expected to inspire and prepare students for further study and careers in engineering and related fields.  They will also be responsible for assessing student progress and providing regular feedback to students and parents.
