Facility care taker (12-Month)

Maintain school facilities by performing a variety of cleaning and custodial maintenance, repairs and responding to the general needs of the staff. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure. High School Diploma.

Preschool teacher assistant (10-Month)

Type of Employment: Part Time
Level/Dept: Preschool

Part-time preschool teacher assistant to work with young children, 2 years through 5 years. Must have developmental knowledge for ages and stages with young children. Must be able to be flexible with hours.

High School Diploma plus a minimum of 6 completed semester units of early childhood units. Upon hire, must complete 6 additional units of early childhood education for a total of 12 units. The position is Monday through Friday, 25-29 hours per week.

Level/Dept: Elementary/JH

Will lead hands-on science challenges in a dedicated science room called THE MAKERY for TK-5 class and teach one JH Project Lead the Way class. Knowledgeable in K-8 NGSS standards and content. Familiar with STEAM education teaching practices. Collaborate with grade level teams in planning school and classroom STEAM curriculum. Will oversee the elementary and JH after-school robotics program.

Bachelor's degree in education or related field. At least 3 years of work experience preferred, and a Teaching Credential. Valid 1st Aid and Pediatric CPR certificates needed.

The successful candidate will assist in the classroom. Teacher Assistants are a key part of the team, acting as role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as a representative of MCS at all times.
